Ruakuri Cave forms one of the largest accessible cave systems in the region, its chambers decorated with stalactite columns that have been growing for thousands of years. Guided tours cover the main caverns in about 90 minutes; adventure routes through narrow passages are available for the more committed. The constant 16°C temperature offers cool relief in summer.
